Your next move deserves clear thinking.

The Founder

Experience that includes the difficult parts

I began my career in the corporate world, working in human resources, training, and development. I later stepped out in faith to co-operate a business, taking on the uncertainty and responsibility that come with ownership.

That journey took me into maritime logistics, business development, and concrete manufacturing. It exposed me to the realities of building teams, launching operations, pursuing opportunities, forming partnerships, and finding the resources to keep moving.

I have experienced success. I have also made mistakes, faced setbacks, and had to reconsider decisions I once believed were right.

Some of my most valuable lessons came from those difficult experiences.

I learned that an opportunity can be promising while the timing is wrong. That a business can grow faster than its people, systems, or capital can support. That partners can share an ambition without sharing expectations. And that determination needs to be supported by preparation, honest information, and a workable business model.

Next Point brings those lessons into the room.

My purpose is to help other owners ask better questions, recognise potential pitfalls, and approach their next decision with greater clarity.

Private Advisory

A place to think through what comes next

Business ownership can be isolating. Employees need direction, customers expect delivery, and financial commitments continue while you work through the next decision.

You need space to examine the business honestly, challenge assumptions, and consider options with someone who understands the responsibility of ownership.

Through private advisory, we work through the decisions affecting your business and identify practical next steps.

Areas of Counsel

What we help you work through

Seven areas where owners most often need a clear, independent view.

01

Growth and readiness

Is your business ready for the opportunity in front of it?

We examine the people, processes, resources, and capacity required to support expansion. We help you recognise when to move forward, when to strengthen the foundation, and when a different approach deserves consideration.

02

Reinvention and pivoting

Sometimes the business you started needs to evolve.

We help you reassess your offer, customers, delivery model, and priorities so you can explore a more workable direction. That may mean refining an existing service, entering another market, simplifying operations, or changing how the business earns revenue.

03

People and organisational challenges

Unclear responsibilities, weak accountability, unresolved conflict, and dependence on the owner can restrict progress.

We help owners examine these patterns and establish clearer expectations, decision responsibilities, and management routines.

04

Funding and capital readiness

Starting too early or operating without enough capital can place pressure on the entire business.

We help you consider what an opportunity will require, understand different funding pathways, and prepare questions about repayment, ownership, dilution, and control before entering discussions with funders.

05

Partnerships and deal structures

A shared vision needs clear terms.

We help owners think through contributions, responsibilities, decision rights, financial expectations, disagreement, and exit arrangements. We explore commercial questions and help you prepare for discussions with the appropriate legal and financial professionals.

06

M&A options and opportunities

Your next stage could involve acquiring a business, merging operations, introducing an investor, selling a stake, or planning an eventual exit.

We help you understand these pathways, clarify your objectives, and identify the preparation and specialist support needed to explore them.

07

Emotional intelligence and communication

How you respond under pressure affects your decisions, relationships, and organisation.

We create space to examine self-awareness, difficult conversations, listening, and communication habits that influence how you lead.

Engagements

Work with Next Point

Practical learning built around the realities of ownership. Topics include growth readiness, funding options, partnerships, reinvention, communication, and understanding M&A.

IV

The Next Point Owner’s Table
